Building/Land Fund

The building/land fund netted more than $70,000.  In November 2005, Risen Savior bought more than 2 1/2 acres of land in McFarland on which to build a church.  In the near future and with God's help, Risen Savior will design a building and build an edifice where the congregation can worship.

Comment:  On February 29, 2008, the Building Fund total was $9146.

Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word and is therefore totally true and relevant to our daily lives. We base all our teaching on the Bible.

We believe that the only true God is the Triune God of the Bible: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to rescue all people from the consequences of sin through his life, death, and resurrection.

We believe that forgiveness and eternal life in heaven are gifts from God given by grace (undeserved love) alone through faith (trust) in Jesus Christ alone.

 

Our Worship

Worship is a vital exercise of our faith. All are welcome to join us in worshipping our God. We meet each and every Sunday at 8:45 for Adult Bible study and Sunday School. Following Bible study is our worship service, starting at 10:00 AM. Immediately after the service, we join for fellowship time to talk and catch up with one another.

Please Note:
During the summer (June, July, August) we conduct worship services at 9:00 AM. There is no Sunday School or Adult Bible Study on Sunday mornings.

We currently meet for worship, education, and fellowship in the McFarland Municipal Center. A map is available. If you need maps to our location, take a look.

We offer the following Bible study opportunities to enhance growth in knowledge of God and His Word.

Pastor and Family

Pastor Nathan Fager and his wife Jennifer began their ministry at Risen Savior in McFarland on July 30, 2006.  Pastor Fager was born in Holland, Michigan in 1979.  He attended elementary schools in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin and Aurora, Illinois.  He was confirmed at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Aurora in 1994.  After graduating from Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, Wisconsin in 1998, he received his Bachelor of Arts from Martin Luther College (MLC), New Ulm, Minnesota in 2002.   While attending MLC, Fager met Jennifer Lindholm and they were married on June 14, 2003 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Delano, Minnesota.    In May 2006 he received his Master of Divinity degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wisconsin.

 

Our Synod

Risen Savior Ev Lutheran Church is a member of the Wisconsin Ev Lutheran Synod (WELS / www.wels.net).

In 1850, three pastors met in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and founded what is known today as the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The word evangelical means, "gospel preaching." The word synod means, "walking together." The WELS is an organization of people walking together in the truth of God's Word and preaching the good news of Jesus Christ. It is the third largest Lutheran church body in America, with over 1,200 congregations in North America, and dozens of missions around the world. The Wisconsin Synod is known for its Bible based teaching and its adherence to the inspired word of God.
